Walk THE Talk is our motto

At Petrina Consulting AB we have specialized in developing people and organizations. Many of our core values, personal experiences and beliefs are reflected in The Human Element (THE) which is also why many of our services are powered by the Human Element.

"People are not a organization's most valuable asset
- they are the organization." /Unknown

Here are some of our other beliefs:

  • People who like themselves are easier to be around than those who don't.

"Outstanding leaders go out of their way to boost the self-esteem of their personnel. If people believe in themselves, it's amazing what they can accomplish."
Sam Walton

  • Openness (speaking my truth) is key in all relationships. Some say "Well, openness is good, but you mustn't be too open." They may be right; however, after 13 years as an organizational consultant I have yet to have a client call and say "Look, we need some help here. People are being too open." Oh, by the way, name calling, blaming, bullying, and talking behind each other's backs are not examples of openness.
  • Self awareness is crucial to success in all human endeavors. Without self-awareness you will be hard pressed to lead yourself well, never mind leading others.
  • Will Schutz was right about there being a link between productivity, self-esteem and the bottom line result. Working with personal development is working with the organization's bottom line result.
  • It's not people's differences that get them into trouble, it's the rigidity of their differences. The more flexible you are, the more successful your relationships will be. Low self-esteem leads to rigid behaviours, high self-esteem frees your ability to adapt and succeed.
  • It's hard to strive for what you don't believe in. For many, the experience of work means giving up some, or even a large part of themselves in order to fit in, keep their job, avoid criticism and stay out of conflict.  Telling them to be more creative, spontaneous, open and collaborative is usually not useful. People need leaders who walk their talk, and leaders need leaders who walk their talk. Everyone needs openness and self-awareness to walk their talk and become who they really are.
